Boomerangst: Myths and realities about health care for an aging population

Type of event: CHSRF sponsored event

CHSRF is sponsoring the UBC Centre for Health Services and Policy Research (CHSPR) policy conference Boomerangst: Myths and realities about health care for an aging population, taking place on February 22–23 in Vancouver, B.C. at the Sheraton Wall Centre.

The conference aims to bring understanding to the implications of population aging in order to make changes and encourage innovations to provide appropriate care for the aging demographic. The day and a half conference is organized around a series of questions, in which are embedded some of the leading myths associated with population aging that undermine the capacity to focus innovation and resources where they are most needed. Speakers will identify and parse these myths, and discuss the possible, probable and emerging innovations and evidence from Canada and beyond.
