Join CIHI’s Webinar Series on Seniors and Health System Performance

Canada’s population is aging and for the first time in history, there are more Canadians age 65 and over than 15 and under.

Understanding the unique needs of senior populations is essential to:

  • Measure quality of care and outcomes to improve health system performance;
  • Provide value for money; and
  • Inform decisions about how best to meet seniors’ current and future health care needs.

Decision-makers are increasingly using health system performance information to inform policy and drive quality improvement at all levels and across the continuum of care.  It is more important than ever that they understand health system data, what it can tell them, and how to use it to monitor health system performance and develop action plans to improve seniors’ health care.

The Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) presents a three-part webinar series on seniors and health system performance. Register now to secure your spot!

Mark your calendars:

  1. Seniors’ Health Care 1: Setting the Context and Prioritizing Areas for Improvement - November 1, 2016 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. ET

Strengthening Foundation Governance Workshop
Foundation governance has emerged as an issue of crucial importance over the past several years. Foundations play a key leadership role that goes beyond the value of the grants received. They have the flexibility to define their own priorities and set their own requirements, along with the ability to dedicate financial and human resources to address the issues they deem critical. Ultimately, the board is responsible for ensuring that the charitable resource foundations processes are effectively utilized.

To allow for greater accessibility, this event is offered as both an in-person conference and live webcast.

Join the GCE’s annual Strengthening Foundation Governance program to hear from expert speakers as they discuss the issues at the forefront of foundation governance.
