In Saint John, New Brunswick, there was a pressing
need to develop supports for youth living with mental
illness, and studies demonstratethat early intervention
can prevent a lifetime of struggle. To fill this need,
Horizon Health Network founded PEER 126 (Peers
Engaged in Education and Recovery), a place where
young people experiencing mental health challenges
can vist a drop-in centre.
