This session is in French only

The Foundation's most recent Researcher on Call, held jointly with the ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux du Québec, took place on April 22. During the presentation, Dr. André Lavoie and Dr. Jean Lapointe explored the concept of continuum of services, and discussed the preliminary results of a performance evaluation that is currently being done in Quebec on the Trauma Care Continuum.

More specifically, they will address the five following key questions while providing the perspectives of both a researcher and a decision maker.

  1. "Certification" type visits are mainly qualitative. Aren't they arbitrary?
  2. Can we measure the care processes that are significant?
  3. Measurement results are always valued, but not always well-used. Why should it be different with traumatology?
  4. Which evaluation types within this continuum should be maintained?
  5. What traumatology network components could apply to other health fields?
