Measurement Analyst

Term: End of August to March 31, 2021
Reports to: Senior Measurement Lead
Salary Range: $61,600 - $77,000
Location: Our office is located in Ottawa, Ontario, however the successful incumbent can work remotely.

The Measurement Analyst provides support to ongoing development and implementation of CFHI’s corporate and program performance measurement activities. As part of a team, the Measurement Analyst helps to ensure that CFHI has appropriate quantitative and qualitative evidence upon which to monitor progress, conduct sound analysis, make key decisions and account for results to its stakeholders.

Your core responsibilities would include:

  • Support the implementation and ongoing improvement of CFHI’s corporate measurement portfolio, such as CFHI’s corporate Logic Model, CFHI’s Performance Measurement Framework (PMF) and CFHI’s corporate dashboard.
  • Implement and manage procedures for monitoring and collection of data across CFHI program areas to ensure timely and quality data is available for quarterly and annual reporting purposes, including provision of performance analyses on demand.
  • Support implementation and management of corporate monitoring processes and data collection tools and recommend approaches and solutions to continuously improve the suite of CFHI’s methods, tools, and practices.
  • Synthesize and analyze data and results on an ongoing basis to generate cross-programmatic insights, providing a balanced interpretation of qualitative and quantitative information to inform program and corporate-wide learning and decision-making.

Education and experience you will need to have:

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in social sciences, health sciences, or healthcare research discipline (e.g., economics, healthcare administration, public health, epidemiology), with a quantitative research background.
  • Minimum of two years of progressive experience in a similar function, i.e. evaluation analyst, performance measurement specialist, etc.
  • Excellent grasp of performance measurement and evaluation methodologies, particularly in the social sciences and health services research fields, including experience in their application.
  • Knowledge of and experience in working with electronic data and analytics platforms (e.g. SharePoint, PowerBI).
  • Comfortable in collecting and extracting data from electronic data collection and analytics platforms (e.g., Microsoft Forms, SurveyMonkey, SurveyApply).
  • Advanced data visualization skills (e.g., PowerBI)
  • Advanced skills in using Excel for data analysis and data visualization.
  • Experience in using statistical analysis tools, e.g., SPSS.
  • Experience in using qualitative analysis software, e.g., NVivo and/or others.
  • Bilingual in English and French is preferred (English communications at Advanced “C” level; French communications at intermediate “B” level.

  • Strong project management skills including planning, coordinating, and facilitating meetings combined with the ability to effectively meet deadlines involving collaborative efforts.
  • Experience participating in multidisciplinary evaluation or research teams.
